Covid has left many vulnerable people battling addictions and seeking purpose. Do you share our desire to walk alongside such individuals practically building hope and resilience and “life in all its fullness”?
Do you have experience of responding to people in crisis with care and sensitivity? Are you a great listener, enabling people to move forward with purpose? If yes, then we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking to employ an inspirational support worker who shares our Christian values to work alongside our FW Recovery project guests and the “trainees” who join one of our training placements under our FW Home (homelessness) programme.
This is a new role and will require someone who has initiative, flexibility, insight, compassion and passion to make a difference. Ideally, they will have experience of working with vulnerable adults and experience of working with mental health or addiction. We are also looking for someone who can relate brilliantly to those we work with, to staff and volunteers and to partners from both churches and statutory partners; and someone who is “always ready to give a reason for the [Christian] hope that is within them”.
*Please note that most of our clients are men, and we currently have no male support workers. Whilst we will accept applicants from all genders, we would actively encourage men to apply for this role as they are currently under-represented.
For an informal chat about this position please call the office on 01202 429037 and speak to our Recovery Project Manager, Emma, or Homelessness Projects manager, David.
Please note that applications will only be accepted using the Faithworks’ Application Form. CV and covering letters will not be accepted.
